 in any of the classes! We have tried to schedule a range of years for

vintage patterns and concepts each day so come travel thru time with us!

Contact Jayne directly by phone or e-mail to set up an appointment ~ 30 minutes per quilt.

 

Jayne is a certified quilt appraiser, quilt collector, and lecturer. Each quilt tells a story. The appraisal process gives the owner/maker many reasons to appreciate their old or new quilt.

 

REASONS TO GET A QUILT APPRAISED:

* To determine insurance value

* To determine fair market value

* To establish replacement value

* To determine value for donations, gifts, settle estates, etc.

* To provide a written record for families

* To meet requirements for a fine arts rider to your insurance policy

 

WHAT IS AN APPRAISAL?

It ‘ a hands on examination of the quilt giving it a dollar value based on the physical features, workmanship, condition, and history are considered as well as replacement costs.

Using just 3 fabrics, students make 9 simple blocks at home.

Then, using several setting options, original quilts with borders are created in class.

This little quilt uses a medium stripe nicely for fussy cut squares and borders.

English Paper Pieced Tumbling Blocks quilt which makes an ideal take along

project for meetings or even Civil War Reenactments!

by using vintage embroidered pieces as central design elements:

using vintage linens with a trunk show of quilted items,
